1,2,3…

1. I was going to ‘blog properly’ but then I had to have a nervous breakdown about some work related rubbish. I noticed a problem and tried to fix it and then the VPN wouldn’t let me on and, OH! The frustration of seeing a problem and not being able to fix it until the morning? Is too much for me to handle apparently.

So I went in to the office at 11pm, whilst wearing my pyjamas, to fix it.

Ha! Not really! Ha ha. But I did feel genuinely feel inclined to do that, which is alarming. Luckily I got someone else to fix it, so I can rest easy and I didn’t even have to stoop to new levels of insanity to do so.

2. I fit inside Hallam’s cardboard kennel box! Just!

3. We have got a telly again. We did have a broken DVR thing along with the cultural superiority of being tv free but we have recently exercised our consumer rights to get a new (replacement) DVR thing. So we now have a new one and are not entirely sure what to do with it. We plugged it in earlier, and the sight of the Weakest Link  made us feel dirty… We haven’t missed anything television related since not having a telly (three months) because, umm, there is iPlayer and ITV Player and even Channel 5 online thingy for Flash Forward etc.etc.etc. But, now we have the telly recording / watching / recording and watching at the same time – equipment – it seems silly not to use it. Hmm. Hmm hmm hmm indeed. Should we just put it on eBay? Is anyone looking to purchase 320gb of brand ‘new’ in box personal video recording equipment?

On the other hand, maybe we should keep it. I mean, I hardly need any excuse to feel culturally superior*, because I can discuss Lacan and Medieval women’s literature.

 * Telly is fine. I love it. I just hate the TV licence thing and also hate having it on All The Time. Oh, and I disapprove pretty strongly of The One Show. But, no, I don’t actually think it’s bad at all.
